7th Annual NUHOPE Suicide Awareness Walk

The walk will be held once again in conjunction with the Harvest Moon Festival.  It is September 20, 2014.  Please pre-register by completing the form below.  We will email specifics out prior to the event such as route, etc.  You do not have to pre-register, but it is strongly encouraged and will make your check in the day of faster. 

The walk will take place on and around historic 25th street in Ogden and will be ~1 mile in length.  Check-in and program will be 200 block of 25th just south of La Ferrovia and the program will occur on the main stage which will be in the 200 block of 25th street.

Schedule for September 20:

  • 9:00 - 9:45 - Check-in and pick up shirts and information
  • 9:00 - 9:45 - On-site registration
  • 9:00 - 10:00 - Booths:  Donations and Memorials and many education and support booths will be available around the registration perimeter.
  • 10:00 - 11:00 - Opening Program, Walk and Closing Program 

 Additional Activities before/after the Walk:

  • There will be a table set up before the walk for you to write in memory/in honor stickers for your shirt as well as a "Memory Wall" for messages to loved ones.  In this area we will also have volunteers with information about support groups and educational classes that are offered;
  • There will be a donations table where we will accept donations that will be used to support suicide prevention education activities in the community;
  • Harvest Moon Festival:  A special thank you to Harvest Moon Festival organizers for allowing this event to be included as a part of their festival.  As such, we'd like to encourage you and your friends/family to take advantage of this fun, family-oriented event.  A link with a little more information on Harvest Moon Festival is:


Please note:  The walk and your participation in it is free thanks to sponsorship by McKay-Dee Hospital Foundation and donations of time, materials and other items from the community.  Donations are appreciated to help continue this effort, but are not expected nor mandatory.  A special thank you to all of the donors, volunteers, event participants and Harvest Moon Festival Organizers.


THANK YOU for coming to the website to register for the walk.  As of noon on Friday, September 19, the online registration is closed to allow for time to prepare the registration forms.  You may still attend the walk and will just need to register on site.  A reminder, we are in the parking lot across the street from La Ferrovia Restaurant in the 200 block of 25th Street, Ogden Utah.
